Cat and exhaust fell off today
So today I was driving up to trenton to hang out with some buddys off mine and I notice my exhuast sounds alot differnt, so I get there and we get under the car and take alook at it and it looks at the exhaust is leaking out to where at the pipe and cat connect, so I figure it's a bad weld and ill get it looked at tomorrow. So I start to go home I get onto 295 and i'm driving along and out nowhere the exhuast get insanely loud and sparks are coming from the bottom of my car. so I pull over and the cat and rest of the exhuast is hanging there so im like great, so I called a buddy of mine and we took off the cat and the rest off the exhuast that was hanging down and I went on my way and made it home. My question is has anyone had this happen before? They were factory welds and they broke. All well guess its more of a reason to get a aftermarket cat back.

haha dude, same thing happened to me. and you're right, perfect reason for a cat back. if you dont want to change your exhaust just weld it back up there. its waht i did, held pretty well and with the small holes around the welds (cuz its hard to weld rusty metal), it didnt sound to bad.

Happened to me on my 91... at first the cat broke right off the downpipe, it was just hanging there, and the it broke in the back just before the muffler... so it was just hanging there, by the mid supports.. but it never hit the ground! I change the whole section.. for a brand new OEM one!! I hate loud exhausts...
