catback question

Default catback question

if u purchase a catback system for a 92 civic 4dr with a d15b7 engine and decide to do an engine swap, will the cat still be able to usable even with the swap

Yes. You get the cat-back thats made for the car, not the motor. Lets say you swap in a B16 (like everyone else in the world![:'(]). You wouldnt get a cat-back for the car it came off of, because it wouldnt mount right on your civic.

for engine upgrades, you need to buy parts that go with the engine (duh)

however, the exhaust (and suspension stuff) is an exception: this you buy for your car model because the exhaust mounts to the car's body. the downpipe that connects the exhaust to the engine block may or may not be off the shelf. sometimes they just don't line up and you'll have to get custom work done

thanks..... i dont know too mant ppl with the b16, most ppl go with the b18

b16 used to be very popular actually. also, people liked to take the b16 and swap a b18 head... or the other way around, i can't remember.
