Civic exhaust questions
so I have a 2013 Honda Civic coupe 1.8L. I got a skunk2 put on in place of the stock muffler. It isn’t as loud as I thought it would be. I was wondering there is a cylinder looking thing behind where my muffler is and if I could remove it to get more out of the skunk2. Any ideas or thoughts? Thanks |
Pics would be great so we can see what you see

Exhaust and Cylinder

this is the unknown cylinder just behind muffler |
If that's not the muffler, that's a resonator. You can't just remove it unless you have a shop weld in a piece to replace it. From my experience Skunk2 exhausts are super loud. You're the first person I've heard state it's not loud enough. What kit is on the car?

Oh, you have a Skunk2 muffler welded onto your stock exhaust? Now it makes sense. If yes, get a full exhaust kit and ditch the stock set up if you want a louder noise.

Okay, that makes sense. Any ideas on what to get that isn’t crazy expensive? |
What is considered expensive to you? That's a relative term. With exhaust, the more you spend, the happier you will be (generally speaking). The cheap kits will burn out and sound like crap very quickly.

Is 400$ a decent quality exhaust system? Also do you have any examples of what to get? I also know it’s going to cost a certain amount to weld and labor |
