Question civic in need of exhuast

hey everyone, ok, so the civic has sprung a exhaust leak, its right after the down pipe. I was wondering if this would be the best route for doing things, ive found this on ebay, and i wanted to use all of it besides the muffler portion of it because i don't want to sound like rice, my question here is is this a responsible exhaust, it claims stainless steel, and would it bolts to the stock muffler?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/92-93...3A1|240%3A1318

i just want it to sound stock, but a few more horses would help on the hills in the Adirondacks...

Yeah for that price I'd def. stay away! It's a no name and way to cheap to be true.

Nope, that exhaust/header is garbage. It's not worth the metal it was made of.

Here's what you do.
1. go on a reputable site that only sells quality exhausts
2. go to youtube and find clips of those exhausts
3. decide which ones you might want to get
4. search for those same exhausts on ebay
5. go to live.com and find that same exact listing you found with live.com, to get 30% cash back from your purchase
6. purchase

The best route for doing things is to replace the exhaust gasket that blew.

its a rust hole, not the gasket

some questions about the ebay one i found.
whats wrong with them, im guessing they are not stainless steel, would they be good after a sand basting and recoating. DO they wrap or crack, has anyone had frist person experience with these kind of headers (remember, winter car equals lots of salt =O)

Im guessing the shape and exhaust path and diameter are not much different between exhaust.

With the header, you have a 50/50 chance of it fitting right, and a 50/50 chance of it cracking.

With the exhaust, you have a 50/50 chance of it fitting good. Also, those exhaust totally sound like garbage. If raspy and loud is what you want, why don't you just drive exhaust-less. lol

i was just looking for a replacement exhaust, but i though if i'm in there already, might as well get some power out of it, i'm keeping the stock muffler, so wouldn't the sound not change much?

I forgot you were keeping the stock muffler.
Yeah, that should be fine then. Just make sure you coat the exhaust pipe in something to keep it from rusting, because the ebay exhausts lack it. Get an eBay exhaust without the header.

on a 4 cylinder, a nice head costs about $350 (DC Sports). Megan Racing is like $150 and those are just as good, you just can't pass CA smog with them.
The reason for the high price on the Mustang is because it's two headers.
