I have a short ram intake right now and I want to upgrade to a CAI but I don't want to spend the money to buy a whole new one...is there a cold air intake entension thing out there anywhere?

 

if i were u id just sell the old one on ebay and buy a cold air intake. Ull get say 60 bucks for the intake u have now if its an AEM or INJEN

 

Depends, bro. I know Injen tends to sell CAI extension pieces for their short ram intakes. I have a K&N short ram intake, and they do make a CCAI(complete cold air intake, which basically is their short ram w/extension compared to a one-piece CAI). I tried to get a K&N guy to sell me just the CAI extension piece, but he said that wasn't protocol...I'd have to buy the entire CCAI. Maybe they've changed their policy since then, since that was almost a year ago. Besides those two companies, I'm not really sure.

 

you can buy the same diameter tubing with the angles you need from eather a hardwood store or a performance shop then just buy another cupling and stick it on, i just orderd a short ram intake the other day and the book that i ordered it out of,right below the intake they had intake extention pieces that you can buy, but if u go to a hardwood store they would be alot cheaper

 

what intake do you have? injen has one...K&N has one but i dunno if they sell it seperately...if its AEM then ur screwed (as in you need to sell the ram and get a whole CAI)
