Cost efficient

I was wondering which would be more cost efficent and perfomance efficient, if i just went with the greddy evo 2 or got a custom exhaust and bought a muffler?

Custom would be cheaper. Though I dont know about the sound quality of the exhuast or loudness, but if you get a 2.5" and run it back to a straight through muffler, I think you will gain as much HP as Greddy.

Any specific type of muffler and why 2.5"?

the way the pipes are made and how thick they are and weight all play a factor and its overlooked verry easy. if you can get a good pipe, then hell yeah go for it.

The only reason Im thinking 2.5 is that I dont know if most shops in your area have a mendrel bender or just a regular pipe bender, but either way it probably wouldnt make much of a difference.

Custom is the cheapest and you will get better performance however how much and how loud, I don't know. I'm assuming money is an issue. Go with the custom and or better ask Sniper. I think there's a post of how he got a custom exhaust for a cheap price.

I was thinking the same thing but if he goes custom, price would still be the same so why not? Go for it. Later on you can boost like DJ said.

again, I dont know what kind of pipe bender the shops in his area have, if its a regural bender, 2.5" is what you want, on the bend it wont be a clean bend.
