Do I need to buy any extra metal or anything for them to weld the cat onto? Or like do they just cut the exhaust system piping then put the cat on then weld it back or what? I just want everything to line up right and have it look good and not be short or anything haha

if you find a legit EX cat, it should bolt on (not weld) to the header, and then the cat-back exhaust onto it. The test pipe is the same way, everything just bolts on. If you find a universal cat that needs to be welded in, yes, you'll have to do some cutting and welding and possibly use some extra piping to get everything the right length and bolted up.
