Ceramic is too keep temperature down but stainless is lighter. 2 peice is an easier install from what I hear but it only took me 30 min to get my 1 piece on. Then you have 4-2-1 and 4-1. The 4-2-1 is better for mid-range and daily driving and the 4-1 is better for top end/higher rpm's.

Just to add a bit to sniper's.......ceramic is quieter than stainless since ceramic is thicker. Stainless has a bit more of a pinging noise to it, since it's thinner. In a Ceramic, the air flows a bit smoother since it's coated on the inside as well. Ceramic is usually for street use, stainless for racing (since they don't care about noise).

if you allow some oil to leak onto them...then they get all rainbowy and the color gets cooked onto them. personally i like it.

there are sainless steel headers that have a ceramic coating inside that keep the engine cooler but not as well as a full ceramic one. one piece and two piece...two is easier to isntall...but as sacicons said a while ago...ppl like one piece cuz the less pieces the less there is to go wrong
