Default Do I need a new Intake Manifold gasket?

Allright, I'm getting an extra HX IM and having it port and polished and such, and putting it in place of my stock one, so there is no down time. Do I need to put a new gasket in there? If so, would I be better off using a hondata one, or just an oem one. Thanks guys.

i would go with the hondata, saves you the time of having to do it later.

get a hondata...less heat transfer from the head = more power to you.

Thanks guys, but I was reading at other forums and everyone said that the Next gear one is better than Hondata. I was also looking around and for the hondata gasket you had to drill a hole in it or otherwise the car would overheat. I may try Next gear, but I dunno. I'd like some more input from you guys.

The oem one would work just fine for you. I try to run all oem gaskets and never have had a problem.

you can get the hondata gasket with or without the heater hole cut in it, street driven cars need heat and race cars dont have heat so you wouldnt need it.. i got the hondata one with the heater hole in it...looks really nice

you need to replace the gasket. The old one is baked on and will NOT come off in 1 piece. Get an OEM.......unless u plan on turboing the car the hondata isnt worth the 60 bucks. I bought one, but thats just to lower temps and keep the motor cooler due to the extreme heat my boost factory makes.
