ebay cat back (anyone tried these)

I am looking to put this on my 2000 civic ex 2-door. Has anyone used one of these? If so, how does it sound. I want to as close to stock as I can get without spending too much. I don't mind a used cat back system if you have one for a good price.

im lost where was the header mentioned in this thread? it looks like an exhaust to me.

that exhaust isnt really stainless steel it will rust out its just a gimmick they put on there to make it sound better. Will it work yes but who knows how long it will last and what the fitment will be like

I bought that same exhaust to put on my old Civic just to sell it because I took the exhaust I had on it off to put on my del Sol.

Fitment was okay, but it sounded like asshole. Not to mention it looks really ricey.

This exhaust will sound NOWHERE near stock. It's actually the furthest thing from stock-sounding besides having an open header.

Exhaust is really one of those things that you gotta pay to play. You REALLY get what you pay for. Cheap out? You'll get a crappy exhaust that sounds way too loud and raspy, has questionable fitment, and won't last. Spend the money? You'll end up with a long-lasting exhaust that is relatively quiet with a great tone.


As a general rule of thumb, round mufflers (like this one) are loud. Oval mufflers are quieter, such as the Apex-i WS2, GReddy SP2, Tanabe Hyper Medallion, and RS*R Exmag.

lol.. if you want the exact OPPOSITE of a stock sounding system, buy the eBay exhaust you quoted above.

+1 on the quiet oval mufflers as Trust mentioned.
