RE: ebay intake
My VERY first intake was a cheapo one from ebay for 19 bucks shipped... when it got to me I went to a car place and bought a nicer filter for it... .then I got in Injen Short Ram... then Simota CAI... now I am back to stock airbox and a K&N drop in and I am happy with the K&N

RE: ebay intake
yea. i ended up finding that thread seconds after i posted this one. haha. i think im going to go for the $20 one. for 20 bux you cant really go wrong. (unless it messes up other things under the hood. which was why i posted.) but the more i think about it. that just wont happen. so im gunna go for it.
thanks |
RE: ebay intake
whats the difference between CAI and short ram? which one is louder or gives a better tone? (thats basically what im going for. i want a mean deep throaty tone) and which one is easier to install?

RE: ebay intake
Short ram definitely wins in the ease of install department. There are about 3 or 4 threads on SRI vs. CAI. Just search and read to your heart's content.

RE: ebay intake
yeah, you'll always get mixed opinions about CAI vs. SRI. I say get a CAI, and if you want the SRI, just dont put the second pipe on :)thats what i did and it works real nice.
There was a thread not too long ago (like last week) about CAI vs. SRI, just look around for it man |
RE: ebay intake
if you want louder, go sri, you will hear it more because its closer to you, in the engine bay
