EGT Gauge Installation

Doest the egt gauge probe go into the turbo manifold, or the turbo downpipe????

RE: EGT Gauge Installation

it can go into either, but the closer to the manifold the more accurate it will be.

but don't you want to monitor how hot the air is AFTER the turbo to make sure the turbo isn't getting too hot?

it doesn't matter before or after the turbo, it is all relative. if you notice the guage going up you have may have a problem, so it doesn't really matter where its at as long as its close to the turbo to get an accurate reading.
