engine bogs down from exhaust

I've had a magnaflow 2.25 in catback and headers on my 97 civic ex for about a year now. Sounds awesome and was installed at a muffler shop. I understand the concept of losing a little low end to make more high end power, but my low end has been laggy ever since. Off the line my RPM's fall for a couple seconds. Could this be because i have hi flow piping, but an oem cat? I'm lookng to get a magnaflow hi-flow.

the cat shouldn't make a noticeable difference...

Is this a "butt dyno" we are talking about here? Or have you been to the track to confirm low end loss?

Hmm, i didn't explain what happens very well. Its not like my car lost a significant amount of low end power. since the exhaust, the car is noticeably quicker.its the throttle response off the line that lowered.
