I've got a 93 civic ex with an evo2 exhaust...and every time i turn right the exhaust makes a terrible grinding sound. Anybody know how to fix it and what it is?

 

Why do you think it is the exhaust?

 

^exactly... if you confirm that your exhaust IS the source of the problem, it's obvious what the solution is: get new hangers.

 

^ new hanger.. i had that with my 06 civic. the dude who installed it, was lazy and used a hangin not ment to be used. hung down to low and was vibrating everytime i turned because it would swing and hit the undercariage/axel.

new hanger, $15 dollar fix

 

Same here... just wasn't hung right but mine rattled when I turned left...

 

where can I get new hangers from?

 

go to a muffler shop and they can weld one on for you for about $10

 

so i cant just buy em online and bring em to my mechanic?

 

not worth the wait of buying online. go to your local pepboys, or auto store. you could even make one like i did. jus bend and weld metal to the right measurements and your be good to go. make sure its strong and not some chinsey alluminum, otherwise you will get the vibrating clicking noise like the guy ^^^ i had that at one point to, until i used the right materials. i am looking for a exhaust for my new SI so if anyone has any recomendations le me know. i am thinking skunk2, or A'pexi, but everyone says apexi is real loud. is it a good loud or no? thanks
