Question ex conversion

ok so I live in Cali and was planning on doing the dx to ex conversion
A local shop told me I wouldnt be able to pass smog with different headers
is that true or bs

If you cnovert the exhaust and and put in the o2 sensors i believe so....talk to addiction2bass, i think thats what he did.

Actually I'm pretty sure there's a sticky somewhere about this......i'll go try to find it

yeah I did my reaserch but was asking if it true what they told me that I cannot have a different type of header to pass smog

Oh....reading just pwnd me lol. As long as the o2 sensors and the cat are there, it should be fine.......but I'm not 100% sure since i haven't done it

lets see what others say also and well since I live in CA the magnaflow direct fit cat is my only option also does anyone have recognition with these headers part #80528FLT

still need help. Found a stock ex cat but the guy hasnt gave me a price so how much should it run up to if its in good condition

If it's not an OEM part, or OEM replacement part for your specific car/engine, you'll probably fail, even with the appropriate CARB stickers.

well if you don't modify the rest of your exhaust and just put an EX header on there you wont pass smog, but with an EX header, EX cat, and EX catback exhaust, along with a secondary o2 sensor extnesion and your o2 sensor plugged in properly i see no reason why you wouldn't pass

well I was just going to get the header and the cat converter and get an O2 sensor extension. And do you think that header is a good one?
