which exhaust and intake?
Thinking of either the aem v2 or the passwordjdm c/f sri. (fear of hydrolocking; live in florida)
Exhaust: Mugen "twin-loop silencer" design; $680.00. (uff da) Greddy Evo2, or any suggestions...(sound and performance a must, price matters not). Header: Toda 4-2-1 w/ 2.5 in collector flange (bout $1000, ouch). Greddy 4-2-1 one piece header, or a DC sports stainless 4-2-1 header (possibly the racing version); looking to extract every bit of hp available from my b16a with intake and exhaust. And of course a high flow cat. I'd get a test pipe, but if I ever drive back home (I'm in the military) in mid-west Wisconsin, I guarantee cops would be pulling me over thinking I have an illegal exhaust. They're ****heads up there. As long as I have a cat on it, I should be fine). Any suggestions? BTW: Smoked my roomates 03 tiburon gt (5 spd) today. LOL. His mods: no mufflers with 24k miles; my mods: all stock with 92k miles. Yeah I admit it was pretty close, but after 70 mph or so i started pulling away...... |
RE: which exhaust and intake?
if you are worried about hydrolocking get the bypass valve, i have it on my AEM CAI cuz i live in PA and it rains like a mother in the spring, for the exhaust i say go for the Greddy Evo2, and definately DC Sports for the Header...goodluck man

RE: which exhaust and intake?
i'd get the greddy evo2 or magnaflow, and a sri aem, then BOOST, if you want all power out of b16

RE: which exhaust and intake?
just sos you know...the filter has to be completely submerged for your car to hydrolock. i mean it has to take in a LOT of water.
id go either AEM V2 or AEM CAI then for exhaust either the GReddy Evo2, Magnaflow, or Megan Racing |
RE: which exhaust and intake?
thanks. I was strongly considering the aem cai and evo2 exhaust, but just wanted some opinions. How about a header? Anyone hear of "Strup" headers? heres a link to the page with that header: http://www.hopupracing.com/stbrstst41he.html

RE: which exhaust and intake?
get a DC Sports ceramic if you can afford it and arent going for a turbo. if you plan on getting a turbo soon...but you must have a header, then get a cheapo header from ebay...because when you get the turbo your gunna sell it anyway. its better to buy a $150 header and sell is for $150 than get a $350 header and sell it for $150.
