RE: exhaust question??

I don't think muffler is a big enough mod to mess up any thing.

Hey Coupe. In a word, No. A muffler is not going to negatively affect your engine, but it's also not going to benefit it much either. You could spend an extra few bucks and get a full cat-back system and get a few horsepower out of the deal along with the sound.

It doesn't make sense to me to have that sound without the performance that it indicates. It's like having subwoofers that don't play or something.

Get a Holley Thundermuff from ebay...its got the sound and it's a punch too...not to mention that its among the cheapest catbacks there are...

AMONG the cheapest? It's the least expensive one I have ever seen. I can vouch for the Thundermuff!!!!

RE: exhaust question??

Thanks for your advice. if I bolt on a ractive short air intake system would I have a better gas milage and hp without messingup my engine ? Some guys tell me it is bad for the engine and some tell me it will not harm my engine at all .Wish one is right ??
I know it maybe stupid questions but I'm not a pro

RE: exhaust question??

I wish someone would tell me that intakes and exhaust are bad for your motor so I could brain slap them.

Intakes and exhaust don't MAKE horsepower. What they do is let your motor perform more efficiently (yes I know more efficiency out of a Honda is a difficult concept to grasp). This increased efficiency results in more horsepower that was already there.

Tell some of the guys that said it was bad for your engine to come register on here and tell us all exactly why letting more air into and out of an engine is bad for it...

...Please.
