Default Exhaust size for a turbo

Alright getting a turbo for my d16y8 pretty soon and im redoing my exhaust. People were sayin i should get 3 inch piping all the way back...but shouldnt 2.5 be enough? Im only gonna run 7-8 lbs on my stock engine with a tune. I plan on runnin 15 when i get my a6 block done. Even with 15 lbs would 2.5 be enough?

Depends on the setup. Sometimes a 3" downpipe can make a world of difference. I guess if you're planning to run 15psi 3" wouldn't hurt. What setup are you going to run?

I run 3" on 10psi. It will be fine. It will sound good too.

My question is why do you have a D16Y7 when you have a 93 EG??... my imediate thought is that you swapped the motor, but why wouldn't you get something a bit more powerful?
