Default Exhaust system info

Hey guys. Im wondering about exhaust systems. In order to get the best performance, should i buy a catback exhaust and new headers? Would that inculde everything or is there anything additional to add to that for that area of the car.

Thanks.

Some may suggest a Hi-Flow cat as well, but it depends on your state's emission laws. Otherwise catback and header (and hi-flow cat) are what you can do to the exhaust, since that is the entire exhaust system.

Magnaflow and Randomstech both make emissions-legal high flow cats, but a header, high-flow cat, and catback exhaust would replace the entire exhuast system. And if just a header, not headerS

also, keep in mind. Some people swear one way or another which one gains more power, the exhuast or header or w/e. But all of the air has to come through that passage way. So if you already have a header, but no exhaust, you probably are going to see more gains from the exhaust that if you had put the exhaust on a stock car. In other words, it frequently feels as if that last link is what gained you the most power, because it was the last thing restricting air flow, but if done in a different order, the same effect might have happened on a different part.

My car is all stock right now, it seems better to get the whole exhaust system done at the same time. When i get all the money together for the header and catback exhaust. Anyone have any suggestions on brands or anything, i dont want anything that sounds too crazy, but do want some good performance parts.

Thanks.
