Fitting exhaust pipe diameters

I just bought a Magnaflow header-back exhaust for my 02' LX Sedan and once i install it, it looks obvious that the header pipe and the exhaust pipes wont connect due to the Magnaflow's 2.25" pipe diameter and the stock headers 1.25" diameter (guessing). Is this a common problem? What do i do when installing? Is there a connector or a piece that reduces the pipe size that I need? Or is it ok as is??

Thanks a lot, I appreciate any replies!

well i dont kno the answer, but i do kno that it isnt "ok as is" im sure a call to an autoshop will tell u the answer, or even better just have 2.25" piping installed from the catack to the muffler, it will sound better and you'll prolly end up wanting a catback anyways lol

You can take it to the shop and have them make it bigger. They just put it on a machine and open it up o - O. In the mean time you could get an exhaust repair kit. Maybe:)

you can prolyl just switch the flanges (weld a new one on that fits). Thats what i had to do with my stock header-back exhaust and my new header.
