how do you know what generaion your civic is i have a 04 1.7 liter

yours is 7th gen. most of what we deal with here is:

4th-88-91
5th-92-95
6th-96-00 with minor headlight/tailight and interior changes from 96-98 to 99-00
7th-01-05
8th-06+

no, the catalytic converter is in a different place, you'll have to get a high-flow cat... that's what i'm doing anyway... i'm about to order my header and cat in a minute actually.

meh...i dunno. since i was seven years old there have been three (three point five i guess if you count the fact that 96-98 is kinda different from 99-00) generations...so it might not be that long really.

so in 10 or 11 years you saw 3 generations... lets say you live to be 100. you might see 26 or so more generations...
