i have a 98 honda civic ex and i have a muffler welded on to the stock piping and now i am deciding to change the piping to 2.25" the guy at the shop said he could do it for $225 (including all neccesary mat. labor, etc.) i was just wondering if this was a good price or not?

 

if its mandrel bent then that sounds about right.. i know my 2.5in piping was just aroeund a 100 bucks with labor

 

I would say that sounds pretty high i did my exhaust ont my DSM, turbo back with flexpipe and muffler for $115 from 3" and manderal bends granted there are only 2 bends 1 90deg and 1 17deg, the muffler is cheep but sounds great the only thing ive herd that sounds deeper and better is a titanium exhaust. All the labor was done myself other than i had a guy put the bends in.

 

muffler shops vary from shop to shop in the pricing they do. 225 sounds a bit expensive especially since you already have the muffler. i paid 160 for mine but i needed to get it done asap but i could have gottne it for around 100 at the shop i normally go to if i could have waited longer
