im looking at a 4 to 1 header worth it or not?

 

like, worth it power wise? Gains will be like 4-5 horsepower, maybe a LITTLE bit more (and thats being generous), but if you have any plans for a turbo kit, save the money for the turbo mani

 

A header alone is not worth it IMO.

 

i would probably agree with that. If you get a new intake, header, and catback exhaust, gains will be noticable, and then i'd say its worth it, but other than that a header wont make much difference alone

 

well i didnt wanna start a new thread so... what aboutCAI w/ a 4-2-1 header, but no catback. 4-2-1 should also increase throttle response to make up for the CAI?

 

If your car is completely stock it's a waste of money......

I have the following mods... Magnaflow street series exhaust, Magnaflow High Flow Cat, AEM short ram, AEM adjustable cam gears. Will I see a difference with some DC Sports 4-1

As a stand alone mod it is not worth it, but i replaced the whole exhaust with what is basically straight pipe now from the engine back. it definitely gave it some more go, but you need to feed the engine more air to make use of the larger exhaust and in turn you might need a fuel upgrade...

so it depends on how deep you want to go. i say go with the intake first and go from there.
