Default header/cat doughnut

I just put on a high flow cat and am waiting for my new headers. But I a wondering, I am probably going to have to get a new doughnut seal because nothing seems to come with one. Does anyone actually use them or do you just put a gasket in there and call it good? Or, what has been some of your guys's experience with that?

Just reuse your old one or spend a few bucks on a new one, but you definitely need it.

You can re-use the old one... it works just fine. Actually, if you read the instructions when you get the header, they probably say to re-use the old one... I know my Hedmen's instructionssaid to.

Yeah, I just realized after I posted this that thereis no way to get the cat surface up to the header surface to just put a regular gasket on. I think I will have to get a new one. Thanks dudes.

i used my old one, they had to weld a custom flange onto the midpipe to make it fit, but in the end it worked out.
