Header problem
I bought a new Header off ebay from a company caled altezzaworld, and the header is XR from cali...anyway teh flange were to 2 and 4's meet does not really set flat it probably has 2 or three milimeters of a gap on one side or the other depending on which side you tighten first. I have not put the on my car yetor tightened the flange all the way. do you think it is possible it will seal if i tighten it reall good or maybe heat the steal and bend it in some. And would it and how bad would it be if I ran it like that with the small space not sealed.

RE: Header problem
i doubt it would seal when its on the car. this is why i always tell everyone not to bother with cheap headers. and as for running it like that on the car. it will hurt your power from the turbulence it causes in the exhaust stream, and at best, will sound like a broken go-cart, at worst, it could break a valve or even crack the head. when you shut your car off after running it a lot, the head is very hot, and if you have an opening too near the head, cold air can get in to the hot aluminum and steel and warp or even crack the metal.
its up to you, but if it were me, id sell the header on ebay and save up and buy a new dc or greddy, or some other such brand. i know its not cheap to mod your car, but exhaust tuning is one of the most important things to get right on small displacement engines.
