whats the difference betwean 4-2-1 and 4-1 headers.

4-2-1 go from 4 into 2 pipes, then into 1 (street driving)
4-1 go directly from 4 into 1 pipe (usually for racing)

i know what they look like but performance wise.... plus why do people tell me to do 4-2-1 if its a daily driver? wouldnt it be the same either way?

4-2-1 is designed for low to midrange gains, and 4-1 is designed for top end gains, the difference between the two is like 1-3 hp and like 1-2lbtq.
