my dilema is, mechanic says once i take off stock header and converter car is going to run either to rich or too lean.
Is this correct?

not enough to notice. the ecu will compensate for different flow rates. these cars arent freakin carburated.

RE: header question

ok bit more detail

when the cat-converter is removed do i have to put "obd2" down furter on the pipe?
the header has 2 o2 ports on it and my car uses 2 (02 dx)
basicly he's saying since im removing the cat-converter it will be ok on the engine just that if i dont
put a new converter in that i wont pass emmissions.

RE: header question

oh, its a 7th gen, those headers that get rid of the cat are crap. they will set off check engine lights on a daily basis. what brand is the header?

RE: header question

You'll still need a cat no matter what, if you wanna pass emmissions.
