Headers?

Hey wuzap guys, I got an 01 honda civic lx a couple of months ago and I just started to do the typical h/i/e thing but the only thing i got in was a AEM V2 in it and this coming paycheck im going to get 2.5 custom exhaust installed in it but I wanna put headers on at the same time. the problem is I can't find any headers for my honda civic lx and which one would you recommend for a LX im in a low budget so can't get anything too fancy *sigh* only if megan did LX's

RE: Headers?

Why are you going with 2.5"??? If you are staying N/A you want 2.25.

RE: Headers?

I brought it to a performance shop and they said the best way to go on my civic was getting a 2.5 i don't really know alot about compacts so I took his advice but if a 2.25 makes a difference then I'll probably go that way instead.

RE: Headers?

another question I might ask is that i might change it to 2.25 but I want to put some flowmasters on it I've heard they're a deep tone sound on civics and that's what im particular looking for something deep toned and smooth not some bee hiving screaming sound. I wanna know from diff people if this would be a wise choice.

RE: Headers?

If you're talking about flowmaster chambered mufflers, no... you want a straight through muffler.

And yes, 2.5 inch is bad for N/A. If you were to go for forced induction then you'd want 2.5 or even bigger.

RE: Headers?

If you ever plan on using N2O or going forced stay 2.5 higher if going forced. I have 2.5" on my N/A and it's just fine.

RE: Headers?

First of Roadrage its header since it is only a 4 banger. And I've heard bad things about how Flowmasters sound on civics. I recommend Magnaflow to everyone who asks. Good luck.
