Headers and exaust lose hp?

Default Headers and exaust lose hp?

i have a 95 civic dx with a 1.5L b15 and ive heard that buying new headers and exaust would make me lose hp? because of the size of my engine or something? can someone please expain this to me

as long as the tubing is the right size, then u wont lose power. not sure about header size but for exhaust stick with 2" or 2.25" piping.

You shouldn't lose power unless you use 3" downpipe or bigger, that's turbo sized.

the header piping is fine, but like civicracer said, 2.25" piping would be your best for the exhaust. and get a highflow cat too. if its too old, and clogged, then you might not get too much of a power gain.

by the way, one of our good buddies sacions wrote a nice piece on valume effiency. look it up. its too technical for me to
