Heat Shield + K&N Filter
So i went outside today to re-run some wires through the wirewall, and just happend to look at my intake. It was looking a little dirty/dusty, so i took the filter off to clean it off, and i flipped it over to look at the bottom side of it (which you never see unless you take it off), and there are like 4 dime-sized burns in it. It is corroded and slightly melted, and i have no clue how this happened. Anyway, im going to get a new K&N Cone Filter and i was also thinking about getting an intake heat shield. I know the heat shield wont do much for horses (maybe a little, we'll see), but do you guys think it will stop whatever made my filter melt?

RE: Heat Shield + K&N Filter
it might help a lil with the heat...i made a heat sheild exactly like that one and does nothing for power. the heat shield itself gets very hot too.
