Default Help! Fixed Cat sensor to the exaust manifold

Guys,

I recently fixed a OBX header and my cat convertor was taken off. And the sensor of the cat convertor was fixed to the top end of the OBX header and it fitted well. Keeping in mind the O2 sensor was fixed to the right place. Question is , is this ok? I dont have the engine checklight but few of my friends told me to get rid of that cat sensor and close the provison. Please advice all. Should this be removed?

But if there is no catback then what does that sensor read? will it be a long term issue?

leave it in. if u take it out, u'll throw a CEL and ur car will not be running to its fullest potential.
