Help...need advise on muffler replacement??
 

Hey guyz, I need to replace a muffler on my 2000 2DR Civic EX and I have a few questions.

1) Should i get a genuine honda muffler or an after market one?

2) Which website is the best place to get the muffler?

3) Is there any other parts besides the muffler itself that i need to complete this replacement??

4) This will be my first time replacing a muffler. Is there any website that shows step by step replacements? Or better yet, what are your advise?

1) do u want an aftermarket part(loud and prolly flashy)? or do u not care about modding and just want a quick fix?
2) just search around, many many places that sell both aftermarket and OEM
3) if ur just replacing the muffler, than no. might need a new flange for where the muffle bolts to the mid-pipe but doubt it.
4) if its just the muffler ur gena replace, its very simple. follow the muffler back in towards the piping till u'll hit 2 bolts that are like right next to the wheel. all u gota do is unbolt those and pull the muffler hangers off. then just bolt the new muffler on and put the hangers in.
