I have a cold air intake that I bought off of ebay on my 96 CX, but I hate the squeeling noise it makes. It only makes the noise at a certain point in the pedal, and I know a guy with an Injen CAI in his Corolla that never makes that sound. Would changing the filter help? Or am I stuck with that noise because I bought a ebay intake?

 

probably the filter
ebay filters suck and have horrible airflow
get a K&N or AEM filter
make sure you get the right size. measure the diameter of your CAI piping to determine the size
