HI FLOW CAT!

Whats the difference between an ebay Test pipe and a Random Tech hi flo cat? One is 50 bucks.....one is 200. Do random tech sound better? Flow better? I dont care about emissions at all.......i have a hook up........so whats up? Go random tech or ebay?

if you have a hook up i wouldnt even look at one, but i dont really now the differences, i would imagine the quality for the price but i could be wrong.

Hmm, well, the high flow-cat probably would pass you in emissions as to a test pipe not. Nothing flows better then a test pipe, and thats what I have, but I think there maybe a little sound difference.

When I put my magnaflow cat on, it quieted the exhaust and dropped the tone.

you will without a doubt fail emissions with a test pipe. its just a straight through hollow pipe that replaces a cat. a random tech cat is engineered so it will flow as well as a test pipe and can still pass emissions. thats why its 250 bucks

Guys, i dont think he cares at all about emissions, and neither do I cause Michigan doesnt test. Are there any other differences between the two i think is the question hes looking to have answered.

Yea exactly. I dont care about passing emissions. I want the most power possible, end of story. Now, if the random tech wont flow better than a test pipe, im going to get a test pipe. I need to get an exhaust too......i dont think my turbo likes the stock exhaust.

I'd say if you don't care about the emissions test, (which you don't) get the test pipe. As stated before, flows better.

No doub, nothing flows better then the pipe! But, it will play a role in sound quality Im sure.

yea im planning on running a test pipe and a magnaflow exhaust. However, im sure the turbo will quiet things up a bit.

You guys think a universal high flow cat from e-bay would be a comfortable compromise? I don't want my exhaust getting raspy, cause it sounds sick the way it is right now.

Thats what im worried about right now. But im thinkin my turbo will quiet it down so it should be okay. I would just buy it and see how u like it. Worst case u just go back to stock and sell it on ebay. Or try to return it.

Good call. I dunno, i got a lot of time to think about it. I'm not putting anything major on my car until spring anyway. In fact, i'll be ripping my car apart pretty soon..it'll be almost stock :(

Yeh, right! Nobody will give you a refund after you've installed it, or they'd be outa business.
