I need a new cat.

O.k. I need a new aftermarket cat. thats gone to put out hp and doesn't make your check engine light come and stay on. So does anyone have any suggestions or should I just stick with my stock cat?

i say screw that cat and run it straight out. or if you live somewhere were they check emisions get a bypass thingy.

what's wrong with your current one? read the sticky on top and see how useless replacing a cat is.

also, jc6711, what exactly is a "bypass thingy?"

if you run straight, your secondary sensor will give you a CEL. Magnaflow and Randomstech both makes nice high-flow cats that wont give you a CEL, stay away from Ebay "high-flow cats" because htey are honeslty just test pipes that do nothing for emissions. Have you read this though?: https://www.hondacivicforum.com/m_279591/tm.htmQuite interesting....

Get the Magnaflow one. It's cheap, it works. Keep a cat and dont run straight pipe.

one of the 2, i prefer the random technologies one but magnaflow isa quality brand too. keep the cat whatever u do. if you dont, its going to be high pitched and noisy

Yea right know I'm running a cheap ebay one and its causing my check engine light on and my car won't pass emissions. Plus it sounds horrible with a ebay cat on. I'm gone to look at magnaflo cat and see what they offer. Thanks Everyone!

idk what there called exactly buts its a pipe that goes around the cat and basicaly skips it. and you have a countrol in the car were you can swich the valve and ethier run it throught the cat or straight pipe.
