Default I need to pass smog-pls help!

Hey guys,
I have a 99 honda civic hatchback dx and I just failed my smog because I have a modified intake.[:@] Does anyone know if a 2000 Honda civic intake will work in my 99 in order to pass smog? The previous owner of the car doesn't have the oem air intake so . . .

What are my options?

is it because the intake isn't certified or what?

Apparantly it is aftermarket and therefore modified. So the smog guy basically went thru the motions then failed me because he said that the intake doesn't have a sticker indicating that it's street legal etc. etc. despite the fact that my emmissions passed! And after I paid. So any help here?

1. replace with stock air box

2. buy a intake that's legal (aem cai - not sure if v2 is approved yet)

3. boost your car and not have to worry about an intake (sorta...)

4. find a really jacked up smog shop that will let you pass with a beer and $20

5. borrow a legal intake

6. i don't know

ya the 2000 should still fit...
long as its the same model i dont see a problem..
check ebay ive seen some go preaty cheap..........

i dont wanna sell mine just incase i do want to put back mine stock to sell.....
one reason why i dont throw any stock parts away anymore... not even the trunk carpet.LOL
i sold to many parts off my truck that either took me along time to find replacements or im still looken

sweet, i think the civic 2000 will fit to, the only possible problem is that his is a ex coupe and mine is a dx hatchback. Ebay has come up empty no stock intakes.

you know I should've taken my civic to mom and pop shop but the damn Midas was down the street from where I live! Damn Midas! And their workers--the guy could've seen the intake and told me that it won't pass visual inspection before even taking the damn test! My emissions passed just fine.
