If I Had a Million Dollars
Or maybe $500-$1000,
New here just bought a 97 DX Hatch for $2000 120xxx cause my 82 Rabbit diesel just died on me. Anyway my primary focus is fuel efficiency (i'm going to really mis 50mpgs). That said what could I do to improve? I'm thinking cold air, header (it needs a newO2 sensor anyway)and muffler. Any helpfull suggestions or really funny ridicule is welcome Thanks, Darin

RE: If I Had a Million Dollars
get a new intake (which will help with the gas mileage ever so slightly).
the headers (real good ones) will add a few horsepower.
the muffler? save your money.
get a full catback exhaust if you can afford it, which should free up a few more horsepower.
but be warned, once you add these parts you're not gonna wanna drive conservatively anymore. which means your gas mileages increase is gonna go out the window.
but its a freaking CIVIC. youll still get 30-40 mpg. lol

RE: If I Had a Million Dollars
everybody is going to say eBay. but i say choose wisely.
just because its cheap, doesnt mean you gotta have it.
even worse, ebay stuff often breaks soon after you buy it, which will force you to shell out even more cash down the road.
and if you want vendors, there's several forum sponsors to the right --------->
i almost always buy from sponsors when i need a part.
