Default Injectors

I have 460 cc Rx7 injectors (low impedence) with a resistor box. When my car idles it goes up and down a little bit, and the previous owner todl me it was because the injectors. A friend of mine yesterday tried to fix my idle just by turning it up a little. Now my car idles at around 1300 but it doesn't go up and down as much. Every say 10 seconds or whatever the exhaust will make a different tone but quickly go back to normal. My friend told me its because I have mazda injectors on a honda and told me this is the reason my exhaust has a gassy smell to it. My car is turbo so I was told it's normal to run rich, how do I know if maybe I'm running too rich? My airfuel gauge isn't wideband so I don't have an accurate way to tell. Should I change my injectors? If I do what type of injectors should I change them to? I want the same size so it doesn't need to be tuned again, and should i get low impedence?
Thanks

The injectors are too big. You could either chip your ecu and tune for the injectors or get 240cc high inpedence injectors and not need the resistor box.

The injectors are too big for my engine running 9 psi with a 14b turbo? Car's already been tuned on a dyno by previous owner about a year ago. Is it bad to use Mazda injectors?

thats wrong. 9 PSI at 240cc? I'm gonna be at 7 PSI on a small turbo and had 310cc injectors and my tuner wouldnt tune because he said they were too small. 450cc injectors (or 440) are common.

and as for Mazda injectors, i've never heard of using them (not saying you cant do it, just never heard of it). RC injectors or DSM injectors (with a resistor box) and the norm i think. TunerToys i guess has some injectors as well, but DSM's, clips, and a resistor box can be had for like $75, which you cant beat.

Ok thanks flip, do you think my problem is because of the Injectors?
If I change them, do I need a new resistor box or can I keep mine and should I get low impedence?

^ it's cool, but stock injectors are 240cc themselves, and you're gonna need quite a bit more than that

as for your problem i couldnt really tell you man, i havent had any personal experience with tuning yet so idk about it. As for the resistor box, you dont necesarrily need the box, you just need four 10ohm 10 watt in-lineresistors to wire in there, but the resistor box cleans it up. I imagine you'll be able to use the one you have though.

Ok well thanks for your help. Maybe someone else knows, should I change out my injectors? Just to a different brand, same size though so I don't need to tune again? Something that people have had sucess with, but I'm only going to do it if people tell me it's something worth doing?
