Well, I have a 5th gen and the cat has a 3 bolt flange that is impossible to work with while the exhaust is on the hangers, so if yours has a 3 bolt flange then take it off with the rest of the exhaust and install it on the new one off of the car.

I took my old one off in one peice and put the new one on one peice at a time to check for clearances and fitment, but remember, when you tighten the bolts it will change shape.

If you don't lube the rubber hangers up, it will make your life a lot harder.

Make sure to use new gaskets and check for leaks.

That's about it. Take pics and stuff. Maybe we can use you for a DIY.

Good luck.

yeah man, take the cat and everything behind it off, then hook the cat up to the long pipe (make sure the hole for the O2 sensor is on top), then go under and install that whole piece. Then put on the other two pieces and you're good to go. Once you're under the car its all very self explanitory.
