Default Intake decision

sup guys, just started getting into some mods for my car and have decided to go with a new intake. Don't really wanna spend too much (no more than 150) should i go for the short ram, and if so, AEM or injen?

thanks.

I would go with a cold air intake. With 150 to spend it will be hard to find a good one but I recommend CosmoRacing.com. I use their cold air intake and love it.

dont worry about water. unless you literally drive into a pool (look around the forums for pics of this actually), you won't f-up your car with any puddle

okay theres a couple of things you want to think of before going and buying a CAI. you said you just started getting into the mods which means your probably not that familiar with the inside of your car. If you get a CAI you have to think about how your going to clean it. I have a SRI and it is SOOOO easy to clean. a simple unscrew and clean where as a CAI involves taking the whole thing out depending on which kind you get. Also if your going for sound SRI is the way to go CAI sort of muffles the sound of the intake. your choice just letting you know. OH one more thing if you live in cali i suggest AEM they come with CARB exempt stickers. which means its legit and you can get smog checks with it and so on.
