Default intake grounding

I recently put an injen CAI in my 01 civic and i think i grounded the battery to it. I removed the ground today and it performed way different. Is there any damage done to my engine by the intake grounding?

No, not if it was just grounded. Grounds on the intake, throttle body, or intake manifold, and the valve cover, tranny, and block are supposed to help performance. Was the performance better with the ground on it?

i think it was better except when i put my turn signals on. the engine seems to pulsate with the turn signals thats why i took um off. I think i also screwed up my headlights cause when i turn the car on the lights go on and when i turn the light switch on, the lights go off. weird
