Default Intake Manifold

Does an intake manifold give any power gains and if so is it worth it?

I've read that it's more of a complimentary upgrade so it's worth it in the sense if you have cams and or turbo , NA.. not really.

it's a very common N/A mod...

i think they are worth it, but i will not get one because i'm doing a turbo project that will put my HP at pretty much the stock internals' limit. i might get one when i build my Z6, if i ever do (i hope to).

not to mention the under-the-hood bling factor!
lol

Around how long does it take for installation, and are there any replacement parts you have to get in order to install?

need an intake manifold gasket, and a throttle body gasket
i'd get a hondata intake manifold gasket, they're suppose to lower your intake temp and give some additional gains... knock out two birds with one stone

i have no idea on installation time, i've never done it
some of those bolts look like a bitch so i'd say maybe a couple hours

Hmmmm I'm not goin to do it now but maybe later after I get some experience putting other stuff on. I'm not so familiar with all the plugs and tubes hooked up to it.

the tubes are mostly coolant hoses and vacuum lines
you can look up a honda diagram of this stuff, which will make installation a lot easier.

i agree though, i would wait to do something like that. even i would feel a little nervous going into an intake manifold installation, mainly because i've never taken it off before and there's a lot of different stuff on it that can get confusing.
