Default intake question...

iam about to finally get my K&N intake for my civic 06 lx, does it affect the warrenty, being it is such a new car. I thought they only made CAI for my car but on K&N it says short ram, i want it to be as easy to install as possible so iam getting that one. has anyone got the typhoon k&n intake for their 06 or 07 civic? if so what do u think of it. Thanks.

well as to the warente issue.... it might be. i would talk to your dealership and see if its a problem or not....
i dont see it voiding anything BUT its up to the dealerships decision. and im sure if thiers a problem they will try to blame that....

yeah thats why iam not sure if i should get it. B/c even if i call them and they say no it wont affect the warrenty in like a year if something happens i know thier going to turn around and say it is b/c of the intake. Unless if something happens i could just put the stock filter back on right?

CAI on a LX will do almost nothing. there is almost no point. it wont void the engine warrenty, it will only void the air intake warrenty. the honda dealersihp actually sells the parts and installs them where i live. they do I/H/E, and a few other things that dont void the warrenty.

I have a new intake on an LX thats noticable. Acceleration and gas milage have improved a little. It didnt void the warranty for me, Ive had it serviced at Honda and there was no problem.
