he could buy my AEM cold air intake for 40 bucks. DC header for 140, AND a full tank with the other 20$. lol
2 questions...where can I get "your" CAI for $40 (that auction was $174) and where can I get a full tank of fuel for $20......I put $30 of fuel in my civic the other day!

i dont have a header..........sniper said the guy could get one on ebay for 140, i just repeated that. A CAI is all i got for my motor. I knew i was going to boost so i didnt waste $$ on stuff that woulda been pulled off anyway.

I installed a K&N FIPK air intake on my 05 LX coupe and couldn't be happier. Noticeable effects: improved throttle response, throatier sound past 3000 rpm (but not obnoxiously loud), and about a 14% increase in fuel mileage. With the skyrocketing price of fuel and the amount I travel in a day (100 miles on average), I calculate that it will take me less than a year to earn back the price of the intake in savings. After that, it's all free money.

Of note, most CAIs are made of metal, whereas the K&N FIPK is all plastic (I'm assuming PVC or something like it). Metal is an excellent heat conducter while plastic is a decent heat insulator. As said previously, at speed the SRI will get about the same temp of air as the CAI, but the air won't heat up as much whie passing through the SRI as the CAI.

K&N agrees:
'These intakes are built for many different vehicles and represent a dramatic improvement over a K&N O/E replacement filter alone; they use only non-metallic rotationally molded tubes that can reduce intake air temperature and decrease intake sound over a metal tube."
