Default K&N intake temp sensor problem

I have a 09 civic and i installed the K&N short ram filter - http://www.knfilters.com/search/prod...Prod=69-1013TS, It ran beautifully for about 2 months and then my engine light went on. I got all perral that it would void my warranty so i put the stock intake in and brought it to the dealer. They told me it was my temp sensor and that it was unplugged. I am 99 percent sure i installed the intake correctly, and that i plugged the temp sensor in completely, Im just wondering if there is anything to be worried about or any info on this matter thanks.

They may be correct, although leaving an air gap because of a pinched hose or coupler could cause the same issue. When you pulled the K&N off, did you notice anything?

Okay, my other thought is that since it was okay for a full two months, the problem could have been that vibration loosened the connector enough to cause the code to be thrown. I wouldn't worry about it.
