I'm looking for a cold air intake that will get me some more HP for my 96 HX. I was told to get the K&N 69 series typhoon but that costs over $300! Does anyone know where I can get one for under $200 (even if it's a good used one)? Or what is something similar that would cost less?

 

Yeah, you can get most brand name intakes for under $200. I'm sure AEM, Weapon R, Fugita etc has them for less than that. Or you can just buy a generic ebay CAI and get a good brand name filter. Is there anything special about the typhoon?

 

AEM all the way!!!! Or Injen is also pretty good too.

If I were to go back and do it all over again (and if I didn't get a killer deal on a CAI) I would have just gotten an ebay short ram for $20 and put an AEM filter on it.

Seriously, it's cheap, it works just as well as any other intake, and you can put than money towards other mods.
