Kamikaze race header

I konw theres been a old post about this header, but i would like to hear from anyone who has it on this forum if they like it or not? or if any1 knows any real useful information about the company . Im thinking of buying the header and it will bolt right onto my magnaflow exhaust, but im afraid its going to be annoying loud [&:], (im not worried about emissions cuz i can just put my stock headers back on)

help?

RE: Kamikaze race header

headers do not make a great difference in loudness, nor performance. any generic header will work the same as a dc sports header that is 10X more expensive -- trust me.

some people have claimed that certain headers make the exhaust more rasp at certain rpms

well, i was going to go the dc sport/random tech high-flow cat (EX conversion) route, but buying a kamikaze header would be so much cheaper... but it doesnt have a cat converter, its just straight through..so wont that make it hella loud?

i dont agree with this for a few reasons....
one, have you ever looked inside of a pacesetter headers, there are little peices of metal left in there after the manufactoring, and that kills flow...
two, companies like DC dyno test and tune there headers so they can get the max possible HP out of them by adjusting curves, widths, and whatever else...
simple ebay headers arent like that, they are cheap imitations of DC headers that have crappy wields, the angles and the tube width is also different, so all in all, they are very different....
if you buy cheap you get cheap...

i agree with burrythespeedo on this one. I think if you want quality headers you buy a good, quality brand. NOT from ebay for $20. They are more expensive for a reason but if youre looking for something thats quality for cheaper i would go with megan. Just my opinion tho, if you like what you see with kamikazi try it out and let me know what you think.

$=Research and Development, which = better product design making more power. Plain and simple.

RE: Kamikaze race header

the kamikaze header is still "good quality" then since its lik just over $300, which is the same as dc sport header...as compared to what u guys have just said. The reason why a EX swap is more expensive is id have to buy a high flow cat with it and weld it on to exhaust. -kinda a lot of work for not that much of a gain in hp, just thought it would be better getting kamikaze AS LONG AS its not going to be loud. SO will removing the cat (kamikaze header) make it annoying loud or raspy/ricey?? (My civic likes to be driven every day ;))

my friend had 2.25" exhaust and a megan racing muffler w/ his stock cat and it sounded great but then he removed his cat and it was annoying and raspy and sounded like 100% RICE!
