Life Expectancy???

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/92-95...57484682QQrdZ1

Now i kno that is the "N1 Style" and is not the real thing, and i kno that you guys say the only downside to those is the duration of time in which they "live" so to speak. I was jus wonderin how long is the life expectancy on one of these bad boys and what exactly "dies" after that period of time? Is it related to the muffler or the piping? because from my understanding, piping is piping so it must be the sound of the muffler that goes with time? If some1 could just clear this up for me thatd b gr8 lol thanx

RE: Life Expectancy???

piping and muffler and everything is associated with the sound of your car. Air flow, back-pressure, velocity, and all that is creates the sound of you car. Example. Buy a muffler with no new piping, you get one sound (fart can), then buy piping and add that and you get a new sound. And to answer your question about how long it last, i don't know. I just got my own custom catback and my custom one will last for a long time

lol well thanx 4 the reply but i knew all that i was jus wonderin how long, cuz if its all associated wit the muffler, i could jus squeeze as much life outa that catback and replace the muffler wen it dies.............still having the rest of the catback to put a good 1 on

Spend the extra $100 or so and buy a megan exhaust so you don't have to worry about having to replace anything. It just makes more sense, cause if you buy the system and the muffler craps out, it's gonna cost atleast $50 for a good muffler, plus the cost of someone to weld it.

save up a little more and buy a name brand catback, so you won't have to buy another one when your ebay special starts falling apart.

apex, greddy, HKS, tanabe, etc...

you get what you pay for when it comes to exhausts.

if you really want to save a few bucks, there are some doods that swear by Tsudo catbacks. cheaper but sound pretty good. as far as quality, I'll let you decide.

i'm saving up for an apex World Sport 2 at roughly $400. I can get lots of stuff cheaper, but I know they'll turn to crap pretty much in no time.
