LX vs EX Headers

I just bought a magnaflow exhaust from a website. And the next upgrade I'm planing is to get a header. However most
sites only sell EX header. Are they interchangable at all? I have a 96 LX. If not any ideas on a company I can look
into that sells LX header? cause none of these do: DC sports, Greddy, Skunk2, Borla.
Thanks, Nick

RE: LX vs EX Headers

the lx mainfold also houses the cat, so noone sells an lx header. you can get en ex header but you'll need to relocate an ex cat underneath.

I have a 6th gen header but just bolted my 5th gen cat on to it.

Like NTX said, just get the Ex header and then get a 5th gen high flow cat.

RE: LX vs EX Headers

yeah I would but my state (virginia) has some reallly strict laws about emissions. And a follow up question: does a header change the sound of the car?

As long as you have a cat you should pass the sniffer. Whether it's OEM or aftermarket or whatever.

And yes, the header will change the sound.
