Default Magnaflow Exhaust

How does the Magnaflow Cat-Back sound? Can you still hear the engine over it?

it sounds great. what do you mean by hear your engine? as far as i know, the engine of a civic is very quiet... you'll hear the exhaust over the quiet engine for sure. if you have a SRI though, you'll hear that over the exhaust at high rpms.

Yeah, thats what I meant, sorry. I'm gonna get a V2 Intake with it, so I should definitely be able to hear that over the exhuast? And the Magnaflow isn't too loud right, it won't give you headaches unless driven for a while?

It's deep sounding, but for mine around 3-3500 rpms is when it's loudest and then tapers off as you reach higher rpm's. When your cruising you don't hear it much. When you go up hills though it does get kind of loud because you sit around 3-3500 (depending on the size of the hill and gear)

Ok, and what does it do to your HP and torque when you have the intake and header as well?

when you have IHE, the biggest thing you'll notice is throttle response. you think you gain a ****load of torque, but really, that's just the throttle response

anyways, realistically speaking, you'll gain a few ponies along the whole power curve (more at the high end), and your torque will increase a bit as well. (both ~8-11)

Whats the model on the Magnaflow exhaust? @ AutoAnything they have a Magnaflow catback full SS for $462 with free shipping. I want a little more sound from my 07 Civic Si sedan, BUT not ricey/loud. NO WAY. Whats the best Catback? This Magnaflow had great reviews, and the price is good. I don't care spending $400-700. I want more HP and sound without loosing torque and bothering the neighbors and COPS.

I'm looking at purchasing the Magnaflow Catback for my 04 EX because it's got good reviews so far... I'm also pretty tempted by the EVO2. I've seen a few people here sware by that already...

But it's definatly a choice between those two. They have pretty much the same cost.
